Fast Break in Toms River

This is like a place out of the past. The food is good, nothing special as far as I could tell, but it was enjoyable. The wait staff is very upbeat and friendly. I'd go back again, but if you're allergic to dairy then bring your own almond (or whatever milk you drink) they don't have anything but milk and cream. Otherwise it was all good.

I am one to always try a new place. The waitress was very quick to greet us and take our drink orders. The menu was a bit hard to read as the lamination looked like it was separating in the middle. I was disappointed in the coffee and food. The coffee tasted a little watered down or weak and there wasn't anything special.The pancakes I got were really thick and when I went to cut them, they separated, opening up the inside. The sausage links were kinda greasy, but nothing special. I won't be pancakes here again if I return.Overall, while nothing was wrong here, I had higher hopes based on other reviews. Really good coffee and pancakes are the foundations of a good breakfast place. Unfortunately, this place couldn't nail either. The service was really good though!

Food is classic and tasty!

We went here a couple years ago the food and service were good. Today was a different story. What I had was lousy. Won't be back. The service was good.

Great way to start the day the food is good the service is the best. One of the few place when you walk in the workers great you with good morning how are you today and they thank you and say goodbye. Do t see that very much anymore. Thumbs up to their staff.

Great food great service

Honestly, I would give this place at 5 if it hadn't been for the fact I've called on three separate occasions for delivery and, in spite of what their menu advertises, they tell me they can't deliver. I've called on the weekend (around 1pm); I've called in the middle of the week (Wed 10:42am);a I've called on Monday and(9:30am) yet always told no delivery. If you don't deliver, obviously, cool.... Just don't advertise you do!

This used to be our go to spot, I know these are different times, however the quality of food has gone down for me , twice now have i gotten not great sandwiches I had a miss piggy, which had been good in the past, but now I only got 3 very thin pieces of bacon on the sandwich it usually has potatoes in the sandwich there was none they were only the side, (and the home fries on the side were cold & tasted like they were previously frozen) so with the very little bacon & double egg it tasted like a very dry egg & cheese. Very disappointed

I got breakfast. My eggs were cooked perfectly! Exactly the way I like them, and I am a very very particular person about my eggs. The homefries that came with my meal were cooked exactly right. Just crispy enough and so full of delicious flavor that I wished I had more. More homefries and more room in my stomach for them. The bacon... Oh my God the bacon. I don't have the words to describe how delectable it was. The staff is amazing as well. They are very friendly and seem to appear at your side just when you're thinking of looking for them, and they are not bugging you when you are just happily chatting and eating. They always keep my cup full too. This is my go to place when visiting my sister in Toms River. Best food all the time.

Great little spot to stop for breakfast. They were packed when I got there and that is usually a good sign. Pork roll egg and cheese was on point. Check it out if you are in the area

You will get caught off guard by how great this little jersey shore diner is. They are pumping out high quality food for breakfast and lunch and they are consistent . Everything they serve is excellent I recommend a turkey Reuben.

Need a great breakfast? Simple, but wonderful food with friendly service. Try the corned beef hash!

Good service good food

From my single experience here, it seems like a first rate diner. The corned beef hash was home made and delicious. Breakfast options were beyond common, such as eggs Benedict, eggs Florentine, or special request plates including avacados and other veggies. In spite of being extremely crowded, service was friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be back next time I'm through.

This is our new favorite place for breakfast on the weekends. Even the kids love it! Service is always pleasant. Owner interacts with customers and is very friendly! Kids get Ring Pops! Smart marketing lol!

Local breakfast lunch spot. Plenty of parking off season. Summer?Breakfast was a large sandwhich for me, an omelet for Val. Food came quickly. Coffee(freshly brewed) took forever. My sandwich was large hot and tasty on a crescent. Val's omlet was huge and also delicious. Both came with home fries. Coffee was good but again, shouldn't have to wait for it. Had two sips and our meal was served. I hadn't had coffee because of hospital procedure so the coffee was very important!Over all: pleasant dinner enough tables and counter seating. Service was good, pleasant. Will go back.

So good, the owner is a sweetheart, she hires nice young people to wait the tables, the food is always great, especially the corned beef hash ( get it well done) I've had club sandwiches, breakfast, all excellent. My daughter loves it because the boss comes out with a huge box of ring pops!

Used to be way better. Pork roll egg and cheese sandwich was not good. The roll was poor quality and was way too big. All I really tasted was the roll. Obviously not a fresh roll from any of the great local bakeries.

Great breakfast place. The home fries are terrific. It can get crowded in the summer. It is on the way to the beach after all. But the food is very good.

Always friendly and great food

Food is great. Atmosphere can be noisy when it’s crowded.

The waitress was quick and attentive the inside is aged (classic) a very well used home town feel. Which I like. Plenty of table seats with two large counter seating areas. Good parking on the east bound side of Route 37. Coffee is good on par with diner coffee in the area. The food is really good my fast break omlett was cooked correctly and tasty. The toast had the right amount of butter, not soaked in it. You get a good sandwich for 6 six bucks. I have found my new before work breakfast stop.

We’ve been coming to Fast Break for the past few years as part of our vacation tradition before returning back to Philadelphia. Good food, clean, friendly, and great service. Always a great experience.

It's breakfast food in a pretty cool location that feels like something out of the 80s. The staff is friendly but no one seems to be in a rush. The price is fair. I had eggs over easy with toast and a side of oatmeal.
